JULY FAVOURITES

I know everyone says it every month, but seriously, is it just me or is this year is going so quick? Another month down means another month of favourites and I haven't really been using anything out of the ordinary this month, but I have been trying out new products. Without further ado, here are my July favourites:

For those who don't know, blue is my favourite colour, so when summer comes around I need every blue nail polish in sight. Recently I've been adoring the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail paints in the shades Blueberry, Sugar Apple and Damson. Like all Barry M polishes, the formula is fab with a great selection of colours.

One perfume I can't get enough of this month is CK In2U by Calvin Klein. My lovely friend Jess gave me this for my belated birthday present and I just love it so much. I'm rubbish at describing scents but it has a really fresh smell that is so uplifting and lasts a good few hours.

This month I've also loved using my new ebay brushes. They are the 10 piece 'kabuki style professional makeup brushes' and considering I paid less than £10 for 10 brushes, I'm amazed. The set comes with five face brushes and five brushes for the eyes. I've always preferred synthetic hair brushes and these are so soft! I find they blend makeup with ease, are easy to clean and feel so lovely on my skin.

Those who are regular readers of my blog will know I'm a lazy person when it comes to moisturising my body but I've promised myself I would get out of the bad habit. I've been loving The Body Shop Body Butter in Shea because its creamy, nourishing and I'm not waiting long before it's sunk into my skin. I just love the smell and consistency of this butter!

And finally to finish of the month of July are a pair of tweezers that I have fallen head over heels for. Let's just say I have stubborn eyebrow hairs that even Tweezerman's have struggled to remove in the past. But for these? It's a walk in the park. I got these in a set from Bella and Bear (see full review here) and they get every last tiny hair. Heaven in the form of tweezers? Oh I think so.

REVIEW - THE BODY SHOP PEPPERMINT SMOOTHING PUMICE FOOT SCRUB

There is nothing more I hate than neglected feet. You know what I mean, dry skin, chapped heels, unpainted toenails, just ew! Being a regular TFL user, I've seen a lot of neglected feet in my time and that makes me more adamant to have nice feet (if such a thing exists.) 

With all this lovely weather we've been having in London I made sure I take extra care of my feet! A few weeks back I popped into my local The Body Shop and as a thank you to signing up to their membership card I received this foot scrub, which usually retails for £7, absolutely free. 

Being an avid foot scrub lover I've tried and tested quite a few but this one stands out for me!

The thing that makes this stand out for me is the formula. Most scrubs, whether for the face, body or feet all have a similar texture; that horrible very gritty feeling, but this is unlike anything I have ever used. If you can tell from the pictures, it has almost a jelly-like feel but when applied to the skin the jelly-like formula begins to dissolve and you can feel the volcanic particles getting to work and removing all the dead skin! Another thing is how amazing this product smells. The Body Shop are always true to their fragranced products and this is definitely no exception. The peppermint fragrance is very strong, which I personally like, and has a soothing scent about it.

I suffer from dry feet and this scrub works wonders, no miracles! It removes all dead skin with ease and after a little moisturiser they feel silky soft! 

I highly recommend this product to everyone and it's definitely become my favourite foot scrub!

LUNCHTIME HAUL - THE BODY SHOP

I've always been a lover of The Body Shop and I always will so whilst I was on my lunch break today, I couldn't resist walking past without taking advantage of their sale! The Body Shop is currently offering 3 for 2 on practically everything (we all love a bargain) but I knew what I was after as soon as I walked inside. 

For my birthday, my best friend Jess got me a big bag of goodies - which included a vitamin E mini set from The Body Shop. This set contained a night cream, everyday moisturiser, cleanser and toner which all of them were enriched with vitamin E. I absolutely adored the products within the mini set and I really wanted to try some more from their range, so I guess this is what that post is about! 

I picked up the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner (which was included in the mini set) because I've used up my travel sized bottle and I desperately needed more! I also grabbed the Vitamin E Hand and Nail Treatment and the Vitamin E Face Mist. 

As you guys are well aware, I have an obsession with soft hands and hand creams in general so it was a dot in the card that a hand cream was going to be one of today's purchases! The face mist is a setting spray that you use before applying your makeup so I'm praying this will work because my combination skin leaves me feeling like I need to retouch my makeup constantly. All the products smell really refreshing and I just love the simplicity of the packaging. 

I'm yet to try these products but I've got high hopes!

For just £5 a year I now save 10% on every purchase, £15 worth of goodies each year, a special birthday gift and invitations to member events. Erm helloooooo!
