LONDON FASHION WEEKEND

Hello lovelies! So if you follow my instagram/twitter you'll know I recently won a pair of tickets from Elle Magazine to London Fashion Weekend and I went along yesterday with my sister! I also won a goodie box from Maybelline as a little prize and I also purchased one of the boxes in 'Pure Enhancement' - which I adore, and I seriously cannot wait to try out all the products.
Apart from the Maybelline stand, we didn't really enjoy ourselves and it was pretty boring if I'm completely honest. I found the girls who were working on Maybelline to be extremely friendly and so helpful but everyone else seemed very arrogant and stuck up which made our experience not the most pleasent. Despite not enjoying ourselves fully, I did get a few snaps to share with you, and these are them!

I'm very grateful for Elle Magazine and Maybelline for giving me the opportunity to go!

SOAP & GLORY GLOW ALL OUT AND SOLAR POWDER - WITH SWATCHES

I've always been a sucker for Soap & Glory products, the packaging truly is beautiful, so when I saw these two beauties I couldn't say no. Soap & Glory have never failed to impress me with their products and I am very impressed with these!
I've tried many highlighters and haven't found my perfect one until now. Glow all out is a gorgeous pinky, slightly champagney toned highlighter with flecks of gold running through.  I found the pigmentation in this to be very good and it gave a lovely glow to the tops of my cheeks. I also loved the consistency of this powder, which I know is a weird thing to say, but it has a really soft texture, brushes on like a dream and blends in really easily. Best of all, it actually lasted on my face all day at uni, no touch ups required!
I've always found it really difficult to find a bronzer that suits my skintone as I'm soooooo pale and Solar Powder does the trick. I just swirl the two shades together and brush it on lightly with a real techniques blush brush for that bronzed look that we all crave in this autumnal months. This bronzer is just perfect for me as it isn't too dark on my skin nor does it give me that horrible orange look. Like the Glow All Out powder, this bronzer is highly pigmented, has a gorgeous texture and lasts on my face all day. I highly recommend this product to everyone as I think the two toned bronzer would definitely suit both paler and darker skintones.
Have you tried these products and if so, what do you think?

Glow All Out and Solar Powder are both avaliable at Boots or boots.com for £11 each.

SEPTEMBER GLOSSYBOX

This months glossybox was the 'London edition' and considering I live in London, I was very excited to see what was inside. So excited in fact that as soon as the delivery guy turned up at my door, I ripped the box open and find a brilliant surprise.
This box contained:
 Eyelure Pre-glued lashes
Be a Bombshell felt eyeliner in Onyx - which I have tried and am currently loving
Untold by Elizabeth Arden perfume sample - this stuff smells so nice!
 TONY&GUY Shine Gloss Serum
Dr Lipp Nipple balm for lips - such a strange name
So two products were full sized and I'm impressed with this box, can't wait to try all these out! What's even better is because I got this box for free, aren't glossydots just brilliant!?

And that is this month's box so I leave you with a little quote that was inside the Untold packaging!

AUTUMN/FALL NAILS - WITH SWATCHES

With Autumn well on its way, it's essential that I show you guys my Autumn/Fall nail polishes. I've always preferred darker nails so I found it difficult to select my favourite five from my massive stash, but I got there in the end! No further adieu, here are my favourite colours for AW'13.
LAC PERFECT PLUM:
Probably my most favourite shade in all of my nail polish collection (previously featured in my LAC collection post.) It's a deep purple, think aubergine shade, which is slightly metallic but contains no glitter. Like all LAC nail polishes it goes on like a dream, dries quickly and lasts a considerable amount of time.
LAC PLUM WINE:
Another love of mine, this is a deep brown with a slight hint of red. This shade is a block colour and is perfect for the Autumn time.
BOURJOIS SO GLOSSY IN TAUPE:
I actually recently gave a copy if this shade away in my giveaway and I love it so much! It's just a off grey colour that is so glossy and lasts for ages! Considering grey is one of the AW trends, this is just the perfect shade!
REVLON GRAY SUEDE:
This is my ideal nude for AW. Unlike most nudes, this is beige based nude which gives a warmer look that is classic for AW (in my opinion anyways!) I love how nicely the nail varnish applies and lasts a good time without chipping.
REVLON REVLON RED
I love wearing red in AW as it reminds me of christmas! This is just a standard bright red and I know it will be a common feature on my nails in the upcoming weeks! Like gray suede, it goes on nicely and lasts for a while without chipping.

And that's my Fall/Autumn nails! What colours will you be using this fall?

REVIEW - NIVEA EXPRESS HYDRATION PRIMER

Because I have combination skin I find that makeup doesn't last on my face very long. It just clings to my dry patches and basically melts off my oil spots, unless I use a primer that is! I adore the Beautiful Movements Prime & Create primer but it is a little bit on the pricey side as it retails for £20 for 20g so I decided to give this one a whirl. As I'm sure you're all aware me and nivea skincare products get on like a house on fire, I don't think there is a single nivea product out there that I've tried and haven't loved, this being one of them. The main thing I want from a primer is to mattify my skin without drying it out and aid my makeup in staying put all day and this does just the trick!
Express Hydration Primer for normal to combination skin is just what I've been looking for in a primer. At first I was a bit dubious about this product as it has a very watery consistency when applied to the skin, the primer soaks in really quickly and you'd be none the wiser about it's runny consistency! It instantly mattifies my skin, combating my everlasting battle with oily patches and helps soften my skin to make makeup application a lot nicer! I've definitely found since using this primer that my makeup lasts longer and gives my makeup a nicer look in general. I love how the product is so light and airy so it doesn't leave my skin feeling cakey and without a doubt my skin feels so much smoother as a result of using this. Like all nivea products it has a lovely fresh scent which is very subtle and I just love it. Despite all my praise I have for this product, I am a little disappointed about the packaging as the pot inside is extremely smaller than the box it comes in! But nevermind, the pros definitely outweigh this con.
It is certainly one of the best primers I have ever used and I highly recommend it.

Nivea Express Hydration for normal to combination skin is widely available in Boots/Superdrug/Tesco and retails for £4.99.

FOTD #2

Before I begin this post I just want to say sorry for being a rubbish blogger lately, I've been crazy busy lately but don't worry I have plenty of posts in store for you guys!
But anyways, today's post is my face of the day. I went for a neutral-I-can't-be-bothered-face by simply sticking to neutral colours and minimal amount of makeup. I start with a clean face that I then prime with Nivea Express Hydration Primer for normal to combination skin (adore this product, review will be up soon!) as it gives me a nice base to apply my foundation. For foundation I mix one pump of Rimmel Match Perfection in 010 with a few drops of MAC Face and Body in C2 as I much prefer the finish of these two foundations when they're mixed together. I then conceal using MUA Cover and Conceal in Fair and set all of that with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent. I actually use the darkest shade from my MUA Pro Conceal palette to give a slight contour under my cheekbones and brush on a little bit of MAC Blush in Cubic to add some colour back into my cheeks.
For eyes; I simply slick on a Clinique Chubby Stick in Bountiful Beige and use my MUA eyeshadow palette and Jelly Pong Pong eyeliner on the lash line. I then curl my eyelashes with my Emite eyelash curlers and hold the curl in place with Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Black. On days when I can't be bothered to faff about sorting my brows out (like today) I like to use Benefit Brow Zings - not pictured - to give them some shape and definition and then I'll happily use Benefit Speedy Brow in neutral just to set them in place. And when that's all done, a bit of MAC lippy in Pink Plaid does the trick to finish the look off!
Just a shameless selfie to give you an idea of my FOTD!

Have you tried any of these products? What is your lazy FOTD?

LAC NAIL POLISH COLLECTION

TOP ROW FROM L TO R - Sea siren, Aqua crystals, Wired, Dark brown, Tahiti sunrise, Moody red, Plum wine and Perfect plum
BOTTOM ROW FROM L TO R - Green satin, Breathless blue, Vibrant violet, Sparkling fuchsia, Hottie, Jewel tone, Metallic green and Black pearl.
LAC nail polishes (or L.A. Colors) are probably one of my most favourite ranges of nail polishes. They have so many great shades to chose from at such ridiculously cheap prices. Let's be honest, I'm never on to say no to nail polishes anyways, especially not when they retail for a pathetic 99p each! Every time I step foot in Beauty Base I have to resist the urge to buy every single shade! I know you're probably thinking that a 99p nail polish is going to be useless and if you were, you'd be so wrong.
I adore the formula of this nail polish and I'd go as far to say it's as good as Essie or OPI. The nail polish glides on with ease, drys quickly and is two coats opaque. The polish also lasts a considerable amount of time without chipping and the colours are very true to the bottle.
So to give you an idea for why I love them, I've swatched my favourite five:

I can honestly say I will continue to buy these for as long as they are being sold, regardless of what they cost, because I really love them that much!
Have you tried them? What did you think?

AUGUST FAVOURTIES

Like I say every month, I'm genuinely gobsmacked at how fast this year is going! Crazy to think it's A/W already, still feels like summer to me! So anyways, this month I've used my regular faves (Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing gel, Vaseline Spray and Go, Garnier Moisture Match etc etc) but these few bits have become staple favourites for me throughout this month.

First up is Superdrug's Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser:
See my full review here - I've really loved this product this month. It's so moisturising and creamy and leaves my skin feeling nourished and refreshed. It also smells fab and is super cheap and do you know what, I'd even say I love it as much as Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing gel!

Urban Fudge Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hairspray
I know hairspray isn't the best thing for your hair but I just can't help but use it on a very regular basis. The thing I love about this hairspray is not the fact that it tastes so yum but because it doesn't leave my hair all crispy and feeling dry. It keeps my hair in place and smelling nice without the dry crunchy feeling - by far the best hairspray I have ever used.

Emite Makeup eyelash curlers
Love love LOVE these curlers. I've never tried any eyelash curlers that are amazing as these ones. I actually received them in my August Glossybox and haven't put them down since!

MAC Face and Body in C2 and Rimmel Match Perfection in 010
Recently I've been loving mixing these two foundations together to create a base that I adore. One pump of each of these mix together mixes my skin perfectly and gives me an even base that stays on all day and I haven't used any foundations since!

The Body Shop Peppermint Foot Scrub
See full review here - Needless to say this product has become a saviour for me this month. It does exactly what it's meant to do and smells sosososo nice! I love the texture of this product and the results are unbelievable!

And that's this month's favourites! I hope you all have an amazing September and speak to you soon!
What were your favourites this month?
