SUNDAY POST #5

Image from Pinterest.
1. What a busy week I've had! Remember I was telling you I was going to say yes to as many things as I possibly could? Well this week that only really applied to work! I've spent the last five days working my absolute bum off although I had a lovely day off at Hampton Court on Tuesday (see the post here.) The weather has been so nice this week, so I'm a little gutted that I've been working inside but that's life! Apologies for the lack of blogging this week, however I did manage to get three posts up so make sure you read them!

2. I've got the week off work so I'm going to make the most of it! Tomorrow night I'm going out with the girls from work for dinner and drinks to celebrate one of the girls getting married, so I'm excited for that! Apart from tomorrow night, I'm planning to have a chilled week, enjoying the sunshine and blogging as much as possible. And boy have I got a lot planned for you guys! This week, expect my June favourites, Essies Naughty Nautical range review and the start of my 'battle of the bests' posts.
Instagram photos from this week
3. One product that I've been using a lot this week is Soap and Glory's The Scrub of Your Life. It's probably the only scrub that doesn't affect my sensitive skin and leaves me feeling silky soft, but I'll tell you more later this week as it's going to feature in my June favourites!

4. And that's my Sunday update ladies! I just want to say a massive thank you for continuing to read my blog, it really means so much to me but I with GFC going tomorrow, please please please follow me on Bloglovin.

Thanks again ladies, have a lovely week whatever you do, Paige xxx

LUNCHTIME HAUL - THE BODY SHOP

I've always been a lover of The Body Shop and I always will so whilst I was on my lunch break today, I couldn't resist walking past without taking advantage of their sale! The Body Shop is currently offering 3 for 2 on practically everything (we all love a bargain) but I knew what I was after as soon as I walked inside.
For my birthday, my best friend Jess got me a big bag of goodies - which included a vitamin E mini set from The Body Shop. This set contained a night cream, everyday moisturiser, cleanser and toner which all of them were enriched with vitamin E. I absolutely adored the products within the mini set and I really wanted to try some more from their range, so I guess this is what that post is about!
I picked up the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner (which was included in the mini set) because I've used up my travel sized bottle and I desperately needed more! I also grabbed the Vitamin E Hand and Nail Treatment and the Vitamin E Face Mist.
As you guys are well aware, I have an obsession with soft hands and hand creams in general so it was a dot in the card that a hand cream was going to be one of today's purchases! The face mist is a setting spray that you use before applying your makeup so I'm praying this will work because my combination skin leaves me feeling like I need to retouch my makeup constantly. All the products smell really refreshing and I just love the simplicity of the packaging.
I'm yet to try these products but I've got high hopes!
I was asked by the lovely lady at the till if I would be interested in joining The Body Shop loyalty scheme. I jumped at the chance. For just £5 a year I now save 10% on every purchase, £15 worth of goodies each year, a special birthday gift and invitations to member events. Erm helloooooo! There was no way I was going to turn down that offer.
And as a little thank you for signing up, I received a 'Peppermint smoothing pumice foot scrub' worth £7 absolutely free. I'm liking this membership card!
I'm going to trying these products out for a couple of weeks and then I'll have a little post up reviewing them soon so keep an eye out!

What do you think about The Body Shop?

HAMPTON COURT PALACE - LIFE BLOGGING

So today I went to Hampton Court Palace with my gorgeous best friend Jess. The weather was just stunning, which made the day even better. Hampton Court Palace is really close to my university and on our long commutes to and from uni, Jess and I decided we'd take a trip to the palace. I studied the Tudors as part of my History A Level and I loved learning it so much that today was a guilty pleasure for me as although I've been many times before, I'd never truly known the history behind it.
I'd say that we spent about 4 hours at the palace having a wander round, grabbed a bite to eat and enjoyed the sunshine and if I'm completely honest with you, I so prefer a day out like this than a day shopping (soz
(Being tourists and having photos)
Although Jess only lives a 15 minute car journey away from me, it's difficult to see her sometimes. Trying to balance work, education and a social life is very hard work so it was so nice to have a day out together!
The palace is so beautiful I thought I ought to show you some pictures!

Don't worry beauty bloggers, there shall be a beauty post up for you guys in the next two days!

THE 7 DEADLY SINS - BEAUTY TAG

Image from weheartit.com, edited by me.
So I was having a browse through some of the blogs I follow and I noticed that Molly from What Molly Loves has done the 7 deadly sins beauty edition tag, so I thought I'd jump on board!

GREED - What's your most expensive beauty item?
Skin care: it would be my Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing gel as that retails for £18, I'm more of a drugstore lover when it comes to skincare.
Makeup wise: I think it would be my YSL Touche Eclat Foundation which retails for £29

SLOTH - Which product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
Like Molly, I definitely neglect my makeup brushes. I have such a big collection that I get bored having to cleanse them all the time, but I do cleanse them at least twice a month. I always tell myself that I'll do them on a certain day...but that day rarely comes!

WRATH - Which item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyeshadow. I've got really weird shaped eyes, so sometimes I love it but other days I feel like it makes my eyes look bigger, which they definitely don't need! I think the fact that I have fair skin with dark hair makes this love/hate relationship because I find it difficult to get eyeshadows that go nicely with my complexion.

GLUTTONY - What brand makes up most of your makeup collection?
Skin care: Clarins/Garnier
Makeup: Rimmel/Inglot

PRIDE - Which product gives you the most confidence?
Without a doubt foundation. Makeup gives me a lot of confidence and my skin isn't the world's greatest so I like to hide behind my foundation, there's no way I'd be seen without it!

LUST - Which item is at the top of your wishlist?
Skin care: I really want to try the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser mainly because I've heard so many good things about it.
Makeup: I realllllllly want to try the NARS Pure Matte Lipstick because as you know, matte lipstick is my thing. I don't own any NARS lip products so I'm dying to give this a whirl, hopefully it's going to be a payday item.

ENVY - Which makeup look is great on others but not yourself?
Blusher and smokey eyes. I just feel that my face is too round for blusher and I can never seem to get it looking nice, and when I have grey/black or any dark toned smokey eyes I end up looking like I've been punched in the eye! And we all know that's not a good look!

And that's it, if you've done one, please give a link in the comments below so I can see what your seven deadly sins are!

SUNDAY POST #4

Hey ladies! Let's get straight in with my Sunday post!
Image from weheartit, edited by me.

1. I've had the most perfect lazy week! I've pretty much spent the whole week doing absolutely nothing, lazing around on the sofa watching films, and oh how I loved it. Even though I haven't really done anything special since finishing uni, I'm usually rushed off my feet with work and general tasks that I need to complete, so it was nice just to lay back and get up a few blog posts up for you lovely people! Due to my week of reflecting, I've decided that I need to try more in life, make decisions and more importantly say yes to every opportunity, because you never know where you'll end up!
This week I've uploaded three new blog posts so make sure you check them out!

2. Next week I'm rather busy with overtime at work, but I have a few blog posts in mind for you lot to read so keep your eyes peeled! I'm also going to Hampton Court on Tuesday for a little catch up with my best friend Jessie and I know you're probably thinking that's not your normal place for a catch up, but Jessie and I are both history lovers so we thought we'd put the two together and hopefully have a lovely day, which I can do a blog post on!

Some photos off my instagram from this week.

3. One product I've been loving this week is Garnier's Moisture Match moisturiser, and I love it so much I think it deserves it's own little mention. I use the one for combination to oily skin simply because I have combination skin and it always leaves my skin feeling very soft and gives a matte finish, preventing any shine. Just perfect. I'm planning to compare and review a few moisturisers in the next couple of weeks so I'll give you some more details then!

4. I just want to finish off like I always do, thanking you guys for continuing to support me and reading my blog. I love blogging so much and it makes me feel very special that you have chosen to read mine, so much love ladies!

Have an amazing week whatever you do and I'll catch up with you next Sunday!

MUA LIPSTICK: REVIEW

MUA offer amazing makeup products for exceptionally cheap prices and one of my all time favourite products from their range is, without a doubt, their lipsticks. I have quite a growing collection of MUA lipsticks, so I thought I would pick three shades to review for you. The shades I have selected are 16 (Nectar), 14 (Bare) and 7, which doesn't have a name.
One thing I love about MUA lipsticks are the price, I mean for only £1 each you can't go wrong, right? I imagine you're thinking that for £1, the lipstick is probably going to be terrible, and if you were, you're so so wrong! The formulation of the lipsticks slightly change from shade to shade but they all glide on and the pigmentation is just brilliant. I'm not a massive fan of glossy or shimmery lipsticks so I was delighted to discover that the majority of MUA lipsticks are 'block' colour.
Shade 16 (Nectar) is by far my favourite shade out of the collection. Like I've said before, I'm a massive fan of coral/orange lipsticks and this shade is just the perfect mix between a light orange and a reddish coral. The formula of this lipstick definitely plays a part for the reason why I love this one the most. The lipstick to glide on really easily, almost like a gloss, but drys like a matt lipstick. The only thing that I can criticise about this shade (and probably all the shades from MUA) is that they don't last very long, but who cares when you're only paying £1!
Shade 14 (Bare) is a warm toned nude with a creamy formula, that I wouldn't necessarily go for, but nonetheless it's one of my favourite nude lipsticks.
As for shade 7, I'm not a fan. The colour is really pretty but the formula is far too creamy and glossy for my liking and I don't like how much shimmer it contains. Don't get me wrong, this could suit someone else really well and they may love the consistency of it, it's just not for me.
Overall, I would recommend these lipsticks to everyone and anyone. MUA produce some beautiful shades at an amazing price and I know they'll always be a favourite of mine (just not shade 7!)

SHOPCADE WISHLIST

So I bet you're wondering what on Earth is Shopcade? It's basically the coolest thing ever. It's an online shop where you can browse items, buy them then and there or save them using the 'want' button into wishlist which you can organise. For a organisation freak like me, it's perfect! Not only can you organise your wishlists and save items so you can purchase them later, they let you know when the items you've saved go on offer/sale anddddd you can earn rewards for purchasing items from them. HOW AMAZING IS THAT!
You can search items using various 'tags' and they stock so many different items from so many different retailers and designers.

In other words, everything you could ever want to shop is in one place and it's so easy to use. I absolutely adore the website design and they've got some really good items in stock, so let's crack on with the wish list!

CafePress Men's Black Seahorse top - £18
YSL La Laque Couture Nail Lacquer in 04 - £18
Shea Ultra Gentle Moisturiser 50ml - £25
Oasis Dip Dye Jumper - £20
Converse All Star - Hi Lii - £45

Just thought I would share with you a few items that I love from this amazing website so you could get an idea of the the variety they stock so if I was you, I would check them out by clicking this link - http://bit.ly/177STf7
Also just to make you aware, etailPR are running a competition with ASOS and Shopcade so click this link [http://etailpr.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/win-200-to-spend-at-asos-plus-200-to.html?MID=1600170229&UID=16162462963&utm_campaign=Blogger+newsletter+29&utm_medium=email&utm_source=etailPR+Blogger+Network] in order for your chance to win!

That's all guys! Have a lovely evening!

NEW BLOG LAYOUT

Thank youuuuu

SUNDAY POST #3

So I'm currently writing this Sunday post on my lunch break because this week has been absolutely crazy!

1. To be honest, the most significant thing that has happened this week to me is the fact I'm now 19! Last Thursday I turned 19 and had a lovely couple of days celebrating with friends and family who spoilt me rotten! I've also learned a few life lessons this week I guess. I've learnt that I need to stop worrying about everything, to stop the negativity and just have a positive outlook on everything, despite how bad the outcome may be.

2. This week I'm really planning on focusing on my blog. I'm thinking maybe a new layout and definitely get a quite a few blog posts up (that reminds me, I need to finish my MAC Pink Pearl Pop review!)

Instagram photos from this week

3. I haven't really got anything exciting to share with you ladies this week, so I'm going to ask you for some advice! I'm truly rubbish with applying lipstick and I think thats because my lips are wonky, do you ladies have any advice for applying lipstick successfully?

4. I'm really sorry I've been such a rubbish blogger these last couple of weeks but I will get back on track! I really appreciate everyone who reads my blog and continues to support me, I love you all so much!

MAC - PINK PEARL POP LIPSTICK

New favourite lipstick alert! Okay, so I know I recently told you that pink lipsticks and blushes don't suit me but when I was in MAC in Westfield the other day, I decided to give it another go. How could anyone walk past this beautiful shade without swatching it, let alone purchasing it! My inner girly girl came spilling out, I grabbed it and rushed towards the counter without a moments hesitation and here we are now!
I've always been a massive fan of MAC cosmetics but I have truly fallen in love with this colour and I know I'm going to be raving about it for some time.
I must admit that the colour is a lot lighter when applied than what it appears in the stick formation, so if you're a little dubious about trying out a bright pink (like I was) don't be for this is the shade for you! I don't usually like sheer or glossy lipsticks but this is an exception to that!
(One coat swatch, two coats swatch, five coats swatch)
I have to be completely honest and say I'm a little disappointed at the pigmentation of this lipstick. In order to get a what I would say is a decent amount of colour on my lips, I had to apply a very very generous amount.

(Apologies for the rubbish quality photos, I'm blogging on the go!)

So what do you think about MAC lipsticks? Would you try this colour?

SUNDAY POST #2

I'm so sorry for being such a terrible blogger this week! I've just had a really busy week with work and I've been too tired to blog but I promise that shall not happen again, so here is my Sunday post on a Wednesday (whoops.)

1. This week has been so busy! To kick the week off, I did quite a bit of overtime as my bank account is suffering quite a bit lately but as a result it's left me feeling a bit exhausted. Then I had my mum's birthday on Wednesday, and we had such a lovely day. We only went to a local pub to grab some lunch (and a few cocktails) and got very merry in the sunshine and my mum had a really good time so thats all that matters! To finish the week off, I went out with friends on friday and the worked the weekend. Not a very exciting week but I've enjoyed it without a doubt!

2. Well this week is almost over and I haven't really got much planned for the rest of this week however it's my birthday tomorrow! Yay! I can't believe I'm going to be 19 already, feels like my life is flying by. So for my birthday celebrations, I'm going out for dinner and drinks tomorrow night and Watford on friday night with one of my lovely best friends Gem!

Instagram photos from this week

3. So what blog posts have I got planned for this week? I'll be uploading the Superdrugs Vitamin E moisturiser range review, which I was meant to upload last week (sorry!), a pre birthday haul and maybe even what I got for my birthday!

4. I have just recently changed my skincare routine and what a difference it has made to my skin! I'm going to keep trialing this routine for a couple more weeks and then I shall share it with you!

5. Thank you so much for supporting my blog and I, it really means alot to me and I love you guys for the continuous support!

MAY FAVOURITES

Hello ladies! This week has been pure madness so far so I apologise for the lack of posts and the late may favourites, but lets just get this show on the road!
This month has been a budget month, so none of the products are from 'luxury brands' but I know for sure these products are going to be my favourites for a long time!
Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It
Nivea Soft Hands, Face and Body cream
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory
Superdrug's Vitamin E Skin Care All over body cream

Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It
I bought this because I found the name quite amusing (and I'm a sucker for cute packaging), and turned out to love it! You apply a thin layer to cleansed skin, leave it for three minutes and then scrub it off, resulting in blackhead free soft skin. Without question, this has been a revolution for my skin and I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

Nivea Soft Hand, Face and Body Cream
I usually use this as my everyday hand cream and I adore it so much. The formula is really nice as it's not oily but it gives enough moisture to leave my hands really soft. The product is clearly designed to be an all over moisturiser, but I think it may be too heavy on other parts of my skin, especially my face. This is a handbag essential and I doubt I will be using any other hand cream any time soon!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
Well hello new favourite foundation! If you're looking for a dupe for the YSL Touche Eclat foundation, this is probably as good as you're going to get. The medium coverage, which is easily buildable, and almost dewy finish really reminds me of YSL Touche Eclat and the fact it's only £6.99 in Superdrug just screams bargain! This foundation blends really well with my skin, gives me good coverage and smells amazingly are just some of the reasons for why it has become my new favourite foundation!

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All over body cream
Love, love, love, love, loveeeee this product so much! I can almost guarantee that this body cream will blow your socks off, because it certainly did mine! Everytime I use it, I'm left with silky soft skin, what could you want right?
ps. it's so cheap for a massive tub
Nivea Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes for combination skin
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
NYC Nail polishes
Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Nivea Face Wipes
Like I've said in earlier posts, I like to take my makeup off with makeup remover wipes before cleansing and exfoliating and I just feel like these wipes are the best for the job. They take my makeup off with ease and don't make my skin feel greasy, probably the best makeup remover wipes I have ever used.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
A lip scrub that tastes like bubblegum? Of course it was going to be one of my favourites! I wouldn't say there is anything special about this lip scrub, it does what it's meant to do, although it definitely stands out the crowd due to the bubblegum flavour! I honestly cannot part with this product!

NYC Nail Polish
NYC offer really cheap but good quality nail polishes that I have fallen in love with! I really like the range of colours they offer and I especially love the formula of the polish. The colours are bright and vibrant, they don't chip and they dry quickly- pretty much a faultless nail polish! My favourite shade at the moment is Bubblegum Pink which is pictured above.

Real Techniques Buffing brush
I recently purchased a few brushes from the Real techniques range but this is by far my favourite brush out of my entire collection! The bristles are sooooo soft and it blends my foundation into my skin beautifully. Never ever will I use a different foundation brush!

So that's my favourites for this month and all I can say is roll on June!

SUNDAY POST #1

As some of you may remember I promised to make my blog more personal, so I'm planning to make a post every Sunday giving you a little insight into my life! I got the idea Lily Melrose from llymlrs and my posts are pretty much going to follow the same structure as Lily's because I think it's a great idea!
So here goes Sunday Post #1

1. I didn't really do anything significant, but it's been a good one! With my first year of uni over and only having a part time job; I find myself getting bored very quickly but this week I actually enjoyed some 'Paige time' especially because earlier this week I had been feeling a little under the weather so it was nice to just chill and catch up one some much needed sleep. Althoughhhhh that didn't last long as I went out on friday and got very drunk (my poor skin) but heyho, I had a really good night! Apart from working yesterday and today I did nothing! What an exciting life hey!

2. This week is going to be a busy one. I've agreed to lots of overtime at work and my mum's birthday is on Wednesday so I'm actually looking forward to this week. I like to keep myself busy and that's one reason for why I started this blog! Without a doubt, the day I'm most looking forward to this week is Wednesday, my mum means so much to me so I'm excited to spoil her and have a lovely day in the sunshine together.

3. Lately I've been loving Superdrug's Vitamin E collection, so be sure to keep an eye out for a review soon! Oh and I'll also be posting my May favourites this week! Oh anddddd aren't pop tarts the most amazing things ever?! I'm completely obsessed with them!

Some instagram photos from this week.

4. I've dyed my hair, again! This time I've opted for a chocolate brown and I prefer it so much to the washed out auburny brown colour I had before, even though I have to take a double look in the mirror because I'm not used to having dark hair!

5. I just want to finish off with a massive thank you to all my readers. I absolutely love writing this blog and it just makes me feel great that I know people enjoy reading it! Thank you so so so much guys!

So there's a little look into my life and this past week, I hope you all have had a good week and have an even better one this week!
